Set-build & Shoot
Packages London
Give your scene room to take shape. Plan construction, preparation and filming together at Cineview Studios in Greenwich, with time to dismantle and return the space afterwards.
Build the scene.
Keep the shoot in view.
A set is more than its finished walls. Loading, assembly, paint drying, camera tests, lighting and removal all need a place in the schedule. Discuss these stages together so your art department and shooting crew work from the same agreed plan.
This is tailored studio hire for your build and shoot, rather than a fixed construction bundle. Bring your own designer and art department. Any separately available build support, materials, equipment or storage must be requested and confirmed in your quote.
A blank space.
A world of your own.
The lift interior pictured here is a real set constructed at Cineview. The living-room scene in the hero is also inside our studio. Use these examples to think about the frame you need, then plan the working space around it.
The Greenwich studio provides approximately 2,000 sq ft with a 5.8 m ceiling and ground-floor drive-in access. Check the floor plan and leave room for camera movement, lighting, crew and clear exit routes. Your design must fit the agreed usable footprint.

Design what the frame needs.

Plan the frame
Use drawings, references and camera positions to decide which surfaces must be finished and which walls need to move. Allow lighting access behind and above the scene.

Allow for movement
Share lens choices and intended camera moves. Check the space around scenery, cables and crew before finalising the set footprint.

Test before talent arrives
Schedule lighting and camera tests after the build is ready. A separate pre-light period can help your crew refine the look before the main shoot.
Book the work.
Not just the filming.
| Stage | Include in the booking plan |
|---|---|
| Load-in and build | Delivery times, largest scenery pieces, assembly, crew numbers, painting and drying time. Agree working methods, fixings and protection of studio surfaces. |
| Pre-light and tests | When the finished set is ready for lighting, camera checks, rehearsals and any required sound checks. Confirm equipment and who will operate it. |
| Shoot and changes | Working hours, talent and client arrival, scene changes and any time needed to repaint or redress between shots. |
| Strike and restoration | Dismantling, load-out, waste removal and returning the studio to its agreed condition. Allow this time before the hire period ends. |
Build hours and strike hours are part of your production’s studio requirement. Ask about consecutive days and confirm the access windows and charges for each stage. Overnight set retention and storage are by prior agreement, subject to availability; they are not automatic.
Send the details.
Make the quote useful.
Your set
Send drawings, footprint, height, finishes, materials and reference images. Include the largest pieces and how they will be brought into the studio.
Your schedule
Share preferred build and shoot dates, working hours, pre-light time and strike deadline. Flag any days when the set needs to remain in place.
Your team
List art-department and shooting crew numbers, equipment requests, power and rigging requirements. Tell us who supervises the build and removal.
Do not attach scenery to the studio, paint studio surfaces or rig overhead without prior agreement. Share special effects, haze, water or unusual materials in advance. Your production remains responsible for its creative work, safe methods and the agreed reset.
Bring the crew.
Work from the same plan.
Finish the build with enough time for the camera and lighting teams to inspect the scene. Confirm which walls move, where equipment sits and how crew reach the working positions. Photograph the finished set and record continuity before redressing.
Your photographer, filmmaker, art department and performers are not automatically included in studio hire. Bring your team, or discuss separately available support in advance. You can bring your own equipment without an extra bring-your-own charge.

A scene that works
for your production.

Build a call sheet around the agreed access period. Coordinate rehearsals, wardrobe, hair and makeup, talent breaks and client review so construction work is complete before performers enter the scene.
Set-build studio hire can support commercials, music videos, short films, photography campaigns and product environments. Match the set and schedule to the shots you need, rather than building more than the camera will see.
Set-build & shoot.
Your questions answered.
Does the package include set construction?
It combines the studio periods you need into a tailored booking plan. Construction, design, materials and crew are not automatically included. Specify any requested support and confirm it in the quote.
Can we bring our own art department?
Yes. Share your design, schedule, working methods and access requirements. Agree any fixings, painting or rigging with the studio before work begins.
Can a set stay in place between shoot days?
Discuss this before confirming the booking. Retention and storage depend on the agreed dates, the studio’s other bookings and the applicable terms and charges.
Do we need to book time to dismantle the set?
Yes. Allow time for strike, load-out, waste removal and restoration within your agreed hire period. Discuss the required studio finish and reset before booking.
How is the package priced?
Request a quote for the build period, pre-light, shooting, strike and any separately requested equipment or support. Full payment is required to secure the booking.
Are student and charity rates available?
Student and charity discounts are available for photography and filming. Share your course or organisation, project, dates and budget so the studio can confirm the applicable hire rate and any separate build or equipment terms.
