A good conversation.

Decide how your podcast should look and sound before the recording day. Agree guest numbers, seating, camera coverage and the episodes you need to capture. Cineview provides studio hire for your production; podcast equipment, camera operators, sound recording and editing are arranged separately.

Choose the format.

Plan a solo episode, a host and guest interview or a wider discussion. Share the number of speakers and your camera plan when enquiring. Consider eyelines, microphone positions and whether you need separate close-ups alongside a wide shot.

Put sound first.

Bring suitable microphones, monitoring and the recording equipment your production needs. Arrange a viewing or sound test when clean dialogue is critical; the studio is not advertised as soundproof. Check levels, microphone placement and room sound before guests begin.

Keep the series consistent.

Record reference frames and note seating, lighting, framing and microphone positions between episodes. Build in breaks, resets and pick-up lines when recording several conversations. Plan the full episode, short clips and portrait crops together with your editor.

Send visual references and your camera, lighting and audio plan. Discuss seating, set dressing, backgrounds and any noise-sensitive requirements before booking.
