What changes?

GoPro claims sequences exceeding 100 photos at 12MP or 20 RAW photos at 50MP. Results depend on lighting, movement, settings and the memory card; Rapid Photo and Continuous Shutter exclude SuperPhoto, Interval Photo and Burst Photo modes. We have not tested these claims.

The separate MISSION Monitor app gains histogram, waveform, RGB parade, false colour and wireless preview on compatible iPhones and iPads running iOS 18 or later.

For MISSION 1 PRO ILS, separate GoPro Labs public-beta firmware adds anamorphic-lens support. Rear-screen desqueeze preview is still forthcoming, with no confirmed date.

For shoots in a London film studio, those monitoring tools could help crews check exposure before a take. Test any new firmware with your own camera, lenses and recording setup before a booked production.

Availability and UK buying

The free updates were released on 13 October 2026. GoPro’s MISSION 1 PRO download page lists firmware v4.01, also available through Quik. For camera purchases, Wex’s UK MISSION 1 PRO listing showed in-stock availability when checked on 17 October; confirm current stock and delivery before ordering.
