Tamron 16–50mm F2.8 A: UK Prices and Release Dates

Tamron has announced the 16–50mm F2.8 A (B091) on 14 October 2026: a compact standard zoom for APS-C Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z and Fujifilm X cameras. Its constant f/2.8 aperture and 16mm starting point make it an interesting option for photographers moving beyond a kit lens.

A lightweight zoom with a wider starting point
The lens covers a full-frame-equivalent 24–75mm view on Sony, Nikon and Fujifilm APS-C bodies, or 25.6–80mm on Canon RF APS-C. Tamron specifies VXD linear-motor autofocus, a 55mm filter thread and close focusing down to 0.15m at the wide end. Weight is 305g for Sony E, Canon RF and Fujifilm X, or 315g for Nikon Z.
For a studio shoot, that range can help move between an environmental composition and a tighter portrait. Cineview’s infinity cove studio provides a seamless background for planning those changes in framing around your own camera setup. This is equipment news, not an announcement of studio stock.
